Chapter 1 C Drive Warrior#
Episode 1 C Drive Warrior#
Expand Episode 1
The afterglow of the sunset left a long, irregular shape that kept changing on the corridor of the activity center. A girl with low twin ponytails, wearing a pink and white checkered dress and canvas shoes, walked in that irregular light while looking up at the signs at the door of each room.
“Astronomy Club... Food Culture Research Club... E-sports Club... Ah, found it!”
The girl in the dress stood in front of the room with the sign for the DD Gaming Club. She nervously raised her hand and knocked on the door.
Various noisy voices mainly consisting of conversations came from the surrounding club activity rooms, seemingly completely drowning out the knocking sound.
After waiting obediently for a moment with her head down, a vague voice came from inside the room, followed by a loud clatter as something heavy and metallic suddenly fell to the ground, followed by some complaints and the sound of footsteps, and finally, the door was pushed open from the inside.
Because she was looking down and didn't dodge in time, the edge of the door bumped against the girl's forehead, and the person opening the door seemed to feel the obvious resistance and quickly withdrew their hand to avoid a greater tragedy.
The girl in the dress pressed her forehead in pain and looked up in the direction of the door. The one who opened the door was a girl wearing crooked glasses, with long black hair that should have been neatly styled but was now messy, wearing a white shirt with silver-gray paint stains on it, and a somewhat unfashionable dark long skirt.
Although they were separated by half a door, the close distance still made the girl in the dress blush.
“What happened? What was that noise just now?”
A girl's voice came from inside the room.
“Uh... Sorry,” the girl who opened the door looked a bit embarrassed and apologized.
“Is someone here? It wouldn't be the student council, right? I'm busy right now, you can deal with them.” The girl inside the room said again.
“Who are you...?” The girl who opened the door ignored the person inside.
“Um... I'm a freshman here to join the club...” The girl in the dress took a step back and removed her hand from her forehead, which was tinged with different shades of red.
“Uh...” The girl who opened the door continued to open the door, “Come in... it might be a bit messy, just be careful not to step on anything.”
“What? A freshman actually came to join?”
The girl in the dress walked into the room and saw a short-haired girl who seemed to have been talking inside earlier, wearing headphones and staring intently at a large computer monitor while typing furiously on the keyboard. “So big...” the girl was a bit surprised.
“Uh... P, stop playing, look for the application form in the cabinet next to the door, I remember putting it in there...”
“Can't you find it yourself? I’m almost done here...”
“Hey...” The girl who opened the door sighed, stepped over a large black iron box lying on the ground, and walked to the cabinet. The girl thought to herself, that must be the thing that fell to the ground earlier and made a loud noise.
“If you want to join, fill this out...”
The girl who opened the door handed over an application form.
“My name is Zhou Dandan, I’m the president of this club. The one over there playing games is Huang Dandan, she can be considered the vice president, we are both in our third year. Oh, since we all have Dandan in our names, to make it easier to call, you can call me S, and her P.”
“My name is Ye Yuezhi...” The girl filled out the form while hurriedly looking up to introduce herself.
“Just now... um, sorry for bumping into you...”
“It’s fine... it was my fault...” said Yuezhi as she handed over the form.
“Aren't you going to help lift the case? Luckily, I removed the glass side panel in advance.” The girl referred to as P asked.
“Uh... this EATX case, do you think I can move it by myself? Come help!” Saying this, the girl who called herself S reached out to take off P's headphones, but was suddenly interrupted by P's hand.
“Wasn't it you who knocked it over?”
“Aren't you almost done?”
“Um...” Yuezhi said timidly, interrupting the two's argument, “Is it supposed to be placed like this?”
“Uh...” S turned her head and was startled by the upright case, “This...”
“Sorry! Did I turn it upside down!?” Yuezhi hurriedly apologized.
“It should be placed like this... uh... did you lift it?”
“Yeah...” Yuezhi showed a pitiful expression, squatting down and looking up at S. Being stared at by the junior, S felt as if her face was being roasted.
“Uh... sorry... I bumped into you and made you help...”
“What? You bumped into the junior who came to join the club?” P, who had just been playing games, stood up from the computer and walked in front of Yuezhi, dressed in a high school uniform that looked like something out of a Japanese anime, “Tsk, tsk, that was quite a bump,” seeing Yuezhi's red forehead, she sighed and took out some first aid supplies from the drawer of the table where the computer monitor was placed to treat it simply.
“Once the case is upright, you can finish it...” S commented helplessly.
“This year, a cute junior actually came to join the club. Are we also going to welcome the day of development and expansion in the gaming club? Then we can ask the student council for more budget to buy top-notch configurations! I'm really optimistic about you, Ye... what was it again?”
“My name is Ye Yuezhi! Um...!”
“Uh... you can't even remember someone's name and you're thinking about asking the student council for money to get free parts...”
S crossed her arms and sighed.
“I just want to ask if you want a 3090!” P turned to S with a questioning tone.
S turned her head away and ignored her. At this moment, S noticed that Yuezhi seemed to want to say something, but was drowned out by her argument with P. Just as she was about to speak, P interrupted her.
“Ye Yuezhi, right? What were you going to say just now? Sorry, S is just like this...”
“Ah!” Yuezhi wanted to put her backpack on the table, but it was too messy, making her a bit embarrassed. Seeing this, S cleared away a bunch of scattered screwdriver parts and some boxes that looked like computer parts packaging to the side of the floor.
“Thank you, senior!” Yuezhi said, placing her backpack on the table and taking out what looked like a pretty hefty laptop and power adapter.
“Isn't this...” S examined the laptop that Yuezhi took out.
“The Rock Solid released earlier this year?” P said directly.
“Yeah, my mom took me to buy it after I got the admission notice, with a 4800H and 2060 version...”
“Not bad!” P leaned closer, “I heard the cost performance is pretty good. Junior, you have good taste.”
S shot a glare at P and then said, “Isn't it using that solid-state drive, the QLC particles... and the screen is still...”
“This person is starting again... Don't mind her, junior, do you have anything else?” P asked with concern.
Although P made Yuezhi feel a bit uncomfortable, she still continued to speak, “I downloaded some games to play during the summer vacation, and it was pretty smooth at that time, but recently it feels like everything is lagging when I boot up or anything... I followed the methods online but nothing worked, so I wanted to ask if you seniors have any methods...”
Saying this, Yuezhi plugged in the power cord and turned on the computer.
“Uh, you don't want us to fix your computer, do you?”
S crossed her arms and sighed, as if many people had done this before.
“No!” Yuezhi, who had been staring at the laptop screen, suddenly turned to S and said.
“I've always been very interested in computers! I want to save money to build a desktop myself in college!”
Seeing Yuezhi's sincere expression, S was first surprised, then seemed to understand something, revealing a relieved expression.
“Let me see what's wrong with your computer.” Saying this, she took Yuezhi's laptop.
After a long time, the boot circle finally finished, and the computer started.
“It is indeed a bit slow,” P commented, “even for that solid-state drive.”
“?”
“Indeed.” S agreed, then fiddled with it for a while, “There are no messy security software... ” She opened a few windows and observed for a while, “The CPU frequency is also quite normal, the cooling... seems to be as usual... uh, no problem...”
S tilted her head and pointed the mouse at My Computer, “I feel like Ye shouldn't have this problem...”
“Then it shouldn't be...” P seemed to understand S's thoughts.
“What problem...?” Yuezhi asked in confusion.
“It's just...” halfway through, S opened the My Computer interface.
“......” “......” Then both of them fell silent.
“Uh... C Drive Warrior...” The one who broke the silence was S's comment.

The activity room that afternoon was very quiet, with only the sound of the cooling fan of the president's desktop computer blowing, and the occasional sound of two people typing on keyboards, but the keyboard sound from the president's side was louder.
“……”
No one knew what President S was silently staring at the monitor of a computer opposite to P's gaming PC.
Xiao C also dared not say much, staring at the screen of her laptop, which had been revitalized after being tinkered with by seniors yesterday, watching the newly updated anime.
By the way, Xiao C is the freshman who just joined the club yesterday, Ye Yuezhi. The reason for her nickname is that she was teased by seniors as a C Drive Warrior yesterday, which made her quite embarrassed, but seeing Senior S skillfully helped her solve the long-standing problem, a strange longing ignited in her heart.
“Is the reason this club is called DD Gaming Club because all the seniors' names start with D?”
Wanting to chat with this senior who knows a lot about computers, Xiao C timidly asked after finishing the anime.
“Uh... no...”
S still stared at the monitor and answered her.
“Ah...” Suddenly feeling that her question was very stupid, Xiao C lowered her head in embarrassment.
“But...”
“Hmm?”
Xiao C raised her head when she heard the senior take the initiative to speak.
“You should know why soon... it's because of a notorious streamer in the whole school...”
“Who is notorious?” Suddenly, the door of the activity room was pushed open, startling Xiao C. A girl with exaggerated side ponytails, wearing a seemingly expensive dark wool coat and a light-colored knitted V-neck cardigan, looking loose and baggy, walked in with several delivery boxes in her hands, followed by P, who was carrying a few larger delivery boxes.
“Uh... speak of the devil...” S seemed to glance at them impatiently and then asked, “Are all the items here?”
The girl swaggered in and casually placed the delivery boxes on the floor, “A few mechanical hard drives haven't arrived yet, but the rest are all here.”
Seeing P carefully placing a few large delivery boxes on the ground, S said, “Okay, you guys open the delivery boxes, C, clean the table, we are going to start building the machine.”
“So this is why you insisted on bringing me here, senior?” Xiao C closed her laptop screen, feeling a bit happy.
“Hmm...”
“Eh? Who is this girl?” The girl with the side ponytail looked at Xiao C in confusion.
“Ah...” P stepped forward to explain, “This is a freshman who just joined our club yesterday, Ye, what was it again, anyway, you can call her Xiao C.”
“Ye Yuezhi...” S said with a somewhat speechless expression, “Xiao C, this is... anyway, you can call her Xiao V, she is notorious in our school...”
“What notorious? I am a well-known streamer in our school, okay? Be polite, I also contribute to your budget. Oh... so there are indeed new students joining your club, hello, I am a famous streamer in our school, I mainly stream on these platforms, you can follow me...” As she spoke, the girl with the side ponytail took out her phone, preparing to show Xiao C her streaming account.
“Alright, alright, stop showing off your account, hurry up and build the machine, aren't you going to stream tonight?”
S urged impatiently.
“Is there a dent in this corner of the case? Is it a delivery issue?” The girl called Xiao V squatted down to examine the huge black iron box.
“Uh...” S crossed her arms and turned her head away.
“This should be due to the delivery, should we return it?” P stepped forward to flatter.
“Forget it, this little dent doesn't affect anything, we still have to stream tonight. Let's hurry up and start building.” Xiao V said proudly.
S looked a bit unhappy, P elbowed her, and then took out various computer parts from the opened delivery boxes.
“Xiao C, you should join us too, I will teach you how to build.”
“Can the junior build a computer? Don't break my stuff.”
S ignored her and picked out some parts from the opened delivery boxes and placed them on the table.
“Xiao C, have you ever dealt with desktops before?” S turned to ask Xiao C.
“No, I was pretty busy with studies in high school, didn't have much opportunity, just looked at a little online...” Xiao C replied with a blush.
“Uh... then it's just right for you to learn.” S picked up a black motherboard, “This is the motherboard for the desktop, let's put it here first...” Saying this, she placed the motherboard on the plastic inner packaging.
“Hmm... I know a little about these basics...” Xiao C said shyly, “We need to install the CPU first, right?”
“Correct... this time we are installing an AMD CPU, it's over there, open the packaging and bring it over. Be careful, its pins are on the CPU.”
Taking the CPU that Xiao C carefully opened and handed over, S's eyes lit up when she saw the CPU, then she lifted the small lever on the CPU installation part of the motherboard, “There is a small icon on one corner of the CPU, align this small icon with the corresponding position on the motherboard base, then...” she placed the metal square onto the densely packed pinholes on the base and pulled down the lever, “It's installed.”
“Oh...” Xiao C, who had never actually installed a desktop before, looked at S with admiration, “Then we install the memory stick, right?”
“Hmm... yes.” S took the memory stick that Xiao C handed over and quickly installed one.
“Be careful, the golden fingers of the memory also have a foolproof design, there is a notch here, one side is long and the other side is short, align it and press it down... can you try?”
Xiao C picked up one, confirmed the golden finger part, then aligned it with the slot on the motherboard and placed it on.
“Senior...”
“What?”
Under S's gaze, Xiao C, who felt a bit shy, said, “Why can't I push it down...?”
“Oh, it might need some force. Just put some effort into it.”
Saying this, S placed her hand on Xiao C's hand that was pressing the memory stick and gestured for her to apply some force. Xiao C closed her eyes, and with a little force, there was a click, and at the same time, a soft touch fleetingly passed over the back of her hand.
When she opened her eyes again, S's face had a slight blush for some reason, and she was holding the fingers of her right hand that had just reached out.
After filling all four memory slots, “Then it's...” S seemed to gather her spirits and searched for something, “The two boxes over there, pass them to me,” she said, pointing to two long flat boxes. Xiao C looked and handed them to S.
“Then we can install the solid-state drive...” S opened the packaging, “This guy actually bought two 2TB 970 EVO+...”
“What? Didn't P say this is very strong? Right, P?” Sitting on the gaming chair next to them, Xiao V turned to P, who was chatting about shooting games.
“......”
S didn't say anything more and continued to build the machine in silence.
“You two, come help,” S said as she picked up the motherboard from the table and turned her head, “Take off the side panel of that case and put it on the table.”
“...... I can't move that heavy case!” Xiao V immediately protested.
“It's your stuff, come and move it!”
“No! Isn't there a junior? Let her help!”
“Uh...” S was speechless. P showed a bitter smile, “I'll help you move it...” Saying this, she stood up and walked to the case.
Xiao C opened her mouth to say “Um...” while also walking to the case, “I'll do it!” Thus, with the combined efforts of P and Xiao C, the case was moved onto the table, and S placed the motherboard inside, securing it with screws.
S took out a black rectangular object that looked quite large, one end connected to two thick wires, and the other end connected to a reflective cylindrical object on top, placing it next to the case. Then she rummaged through a pile of packaging boxes and pulled out a small syringe, casually drawing a silver-gray semi-liquid and drawing an X on the surface of the CPU.
“What is this...” Xiao C curiously looked at what S had just taken out, “Water cooling?”
“Oh, Xiao C understands too!” P leaned closer, “This is the top-of-the-line 360 water cooling from R0J.”
“What 360? Sounds like the name of an antivirus software...” Xiao V leaned on P's shoulder and looked at S, who was busy.
“That's the length of the cooling radiator, the unit seems to be...” Xiao C showed a thoughtful expression.
S, who was installing the cooling radiator fan, answered her, “Millimeters...”
“Ah! Yes! It's millimeters, so the 360 radiator means this part is 36 centimeters long~” After saying this, she seemed to realize that she had done something embarrassing and lowered her head with a blush.
“Not bad, junior, you know quite a bit. I thought you were just a C Drive Warrior, but it seems you have great potential!” P flicked Xiao V's head with a playful gesture.
“Alright, let's get the case upright.” S wiped the sweat from her forehead after finishing the water cooling installation. While Xiao C and P worked together to set the large black case upright, S rummaged through the pile of deliveries and pulled out a power supply with the same brand as the water cooling.
S, who looked like a beautician, connected various power cables to the power supply one by one, then stuffed them into the lower side of the case, poking the cables around inside the case, and then used zip ties to secure them like braiding hair. Watching this smooth action, Xiao C showed a look of intoxication.
“Where's the graphics card?” S looked around and seemed to have not found what she was looking for, so she asked.
“Here you go,” P handed it over, “I just went to check the graphics card with V.”
S took the thick black rectangular object and installed it in a few quick motions, “Almost done, let's try turning it on...”
Xiao V was just about to plug the video signal cable from the monitor that P had brought over into the back of the host when S stopped her.
“Uh... don't plug the video cable into the motherboard, plug it into the display output port on the graphics card...”
“I... I know!”
Xiao V pouted, plugged in the cable, and pressed the power button.
Then, the interior of the case, which had been moved to the table, lit up like a city night scene recovering from a blackout, with colorful lights illuminating the space.
“This RGB lighting effect is really exaggerated...” S commented.
With P's help, the new computer successfully booted up, and Xiao V eagerly began downloading games to play.
“Oh wow~ Is this the power of the 3950x and 2080ti? Everything runs so smoothly!”
Back at her own computer, S seemed to remember something and spoke up.
“By the way, how are you going to move all this stuff back to your dorm? Are you going to ask those few male fans at school to help you move?”
“Huh?” Xiao V stared intently at the game, “I never thought about moving it back, okay?”
“?”
S turned to look at Xiao V, who was playing the game.
“Your club's activity room has a faster internet speed than the dormitory, and it's quieter than my dorm, so I set it up here to use directly!”
Episode 3 Final Review and Mini Computer#

During the New Year's holiday, snowflakes fell outside, fitting the season, and the campus was dyed white.
“The snow is falling so heavily...”
Tired from reviewing, Xiao C lifted her head from the textbook and looked out the window, sighing to herself.
“This is probably the biggest snow since college. Xiao C's hometown is considered southern.” P took a sip of her hot drink and also turned to look out the window.
“Yeah, I can count the times I've seen snow on one hand...”
“Speaking of which, the person over there in the corner, can they go to the library to review?”
“I need to use the computer to finish a few post-production assignments ah ah ah ah... I forgot because of the New Year stream! You guys don't need to review!?”
The sound of clicking keyboards like in a game came from Xiao V.
S glanced at Xiao C beside her, then returned her gaze to the monitor in front of her, “It turns out you can still do assignments, I thought you would be slacking off.”
“What do you mean I can still do assignments? I ranked in the top three in the department last semester, and our live editing department also received the school's project sponsorship...”
“Ah ah ah, I can't take it anymore, I have to finish the last two videos...”
“Of course, we can help you render a couple of videos after we finish building the system.”
“Thank you, I love you!!”
“Uh, in public, pay attention to your image.”
“I mean, I never thought I would be so close to a cute girl...”
“Uh, I don't want to be a burden, I just want to help.”
“Well, let's just eat something good first.”
A few people chatted and laughed as they walked out of the school.
“Okay, today I won't be too harsh on you, let's just go to the western restaurant at the school gate, it's pretty good and not too expensive.”
Senior S pointed to a store with a rather fashionable English sign in front of the school gate.
“Oh~ that place is indeed not bad. Uh, wait, I didn't say I would treat you!” Xiao C, who was holding onto P's arm, puffed her cheeks like a child in protest, “P, you should also say something!”
“Haha, alright, this meal will be on me.”
P said, pinching Xiao V's cheek.
“Wow! Thank you, Senior P!”
“Thank you, Senior!”
“Speaking of which,” Xiao V eagerly took a bite of her burger and asked while eating, “Senior P, why did you go to McDonald's?”
“Today is the first release of the 3070 graphics card, so in the afternoon everyone came to prepare to grab it together, there was no time to eat, just casually ate something for dinner, and then we planned to go buy McDonald's for supper, I didn't disturb you while you were streaming.”
P returned to her seat in front of her computer and began to eat her portion, while Xiao V followed her and sat on P's lap.
“So heavy...”
“Don't say I'm heavy!”
“You guys have a really good relationship, how did you meet?”
Yuezhi, while eating her burger, looked at the two seniors across from her.
“We met in a game!”
“Eh? Wasn't it in your fan group?”
“I first noticed Senior P in the audience participation live broadcast of abex! But later we got familiar in the fan group...”
“What live broadcast?”
“It was in March last semester...” Xiao V took out her phone, poked at it for a while, and handed it to P, “It was this live broadcast, I remember it clearly!”
“Oh, I seem to have some impression, I just remember that I queued up for someone who seemed to be a streamer.”
“The one who queued up in that live broadcast was the best player among the viewers, I remember it very well.”
“So after I finished playing with you, I searched for your ID and watched your live broadcast archive, I found it quite interesting, so I joined the fan group.”
“Oh, really? I didn't expect you to be a fan!”
“Not really a fan, just occasionally watch the live broadcast area, after all, Venom is so famous, there are often pushes on the homepage, so when I have nothing to do, I just click in to watch a few.”
“Tsk.”
“After all, I am a loyal fan of Senior S!”
